Brent Mellow is President & CEO of Mellow Ventures and has more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, partner relationship management, business finance and infrastructure.

Brent began his career in the financial services industry where he spent over a decade with a variety of commercial and investment banks including FirstRepublic Bank, NCNB, NationsBank, Montgomery Securities and Bank of America.  As a banker, Brent was formally trained in risk management including the practice of treating each loan like it was his own money.  This practice developed his keen ability to ask good questions and conduct expert due diligence.  Brent participated in the consolidation of the banking industry where he served on numerous merger and acquisition due diligence and integration teams and was an advocate for various customer relationship management (CRM) system deployments.  Over the course of his banking career, Brent was responsible for the extension of more than $2 billion in successful financings.  Brent credits a strong foundation in risk management, industry analysis and competitive dynamics for his success which earned him a position as one of the youngest Senior Vice Presidents and Managing Directors in Bank of America's Global Corporate and Investment Banking Group.  Through his banking career, Brent had the opportunitunity to interact with senior executives of some of the most well-known companies in America and observe hundreds of businesses of all sizes across a wide variety of industiries.  Brent's clients benefit from the lessons learned from these many relationships.  Brent was also a founding member of the Technology Corporate Finance Group at Bank of America where he leveraged his passion for technology. 

Following his banking career, Brent was CEO and co-founder of a technology-based market research company focused on understanding buying patterns in the consumer furniture industry.  In this capacity, Brent deployed one of the industry's first analytical engines and developed the largest database of knowledge from the high-end furniture industry.  

Brent was subsequently hired by CompUSA in 2001 to spin-off its multi-national Call Center Services outsourcing division.  Following this successful engagement, Brent assumed the position of VP/Chief Administrative Officer of the spin off - The Telvista Company, where he successfully deployed its CRM system and later became its VP of Sales & Marketing.  The company grew globally to over $100 million with operations in the U.S. and Latin America.

Having achieved increasing successes for The Telvista Company, Brent co-founded MW Advisors in 2003 with the recognition that most companies with call centers do not have the in-house skills or resources to exploit the benefits of customer relationship management systems.  MW Advisors grew quickly as one of the nation's top system integrators for salesforce.com and years later, combined with Atlanta-based GrowthCircle in a merger of equals to form Astadia.  Fueled by its new market position and venture capital investment, Astadia expanded rapidly in the U.S., Europe and Asia to become the largest system integrator for a number of SaaS-based vendors including salesforce.com, Eloqua and Xactly. As an Astadia co-founder, Brent held a variety of responsibilities including serving as President - US Sales and most recently EVP & Chief Marketing Officer.  He also had oversight for the legal, IT and product development functions.  Brent remains a supportive company shareholder.   

Brent has been a featured presenter and panelist for UBS, the Call Center Networking Group, and the Southwest Venture Forum. Brent holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.  Brent currently resides in Colorado Springs, is happily married and has three wonderful children.
